Hi Everyone! I am Hank Waterston and welcome to my new blog: Coolish Abroad. Currently, I am enrolled in Oklahoma Christian University’s Spring 2024 Semester Abroad, located in Vienna, Austria. I created this blog because I want to share this experience with the world. Could I have done this on my public Instagram Account? Yes, however, I dislike Instagram. Reason being that Instagram is a platform run on the dopamine of the userbase. It’s an endless cycle of posting, commenting and scrolling, commodifying our worn out limbic system into precious ad revenue. I hate the idea of feeding that beast with my posts, so I am cutting it out of the equation and making this blog instead
Enough about my personal vendetta against Instagram, let me explain how this blog is going to work. I plan to post an update on this website (hankiscoolish.com) every Monday once I arrive in Vienna.
